Home to more than 6500 pieces of Canadian art, the McMichael has a significant collection of works by Tom Thomson, the Group of Seven, their contemporaries and Indigenous Peoples. Visit the gallery to learn more about the Group of Seven and their impact on Canadian art. On the grounds, you'll find Tom Thomson's shack and an interpretive installation along the path to the Group of Seven cemetery which features granite from Northern Ontario to ensure the artists have a piece of the landscape that inspired them along for their final journey.

Conversations: Masterworks from the McMichael Canadian Art Collection
The McMichael Canadian Art Collection has more than 7,000 works from Group of Seven pieces to items once in the possession of their founders, Robert and Signe McMichael. This selection of works from their permanent collection takes pleasure in placing apparently disparate works in creative conservation with each other. This exhibition features works from Group of Seven members Arthur Lismer, Lawren Harris, Franklin Carmichael, and A.Y. Jackson.
